    This progression works for me, but spiritual maturity is not really a linear or step by step process. To be sure there are stages: infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, but the progression is not linear, automatic or tied to a specific physical age. We have all known 80 year olds that act like spiritual infants and younger people that are far more spiritually mature than their parents. For me, the progression is more a matter of surrender and abiding that changes the way I see the world and others, that changes the way I behave. I am transformed, remade, through surrender and abiding in God from God with me to me in God (Christ). The path to we in God is the same. The challenge is that unlike branches on a vine, we can take control back and detach from the vine at any stage. That’s why we have to deny our self daily and remain in Him. Lord let it be so with me!
