Will we trust in God’s provision or our own? This is the lesson of the wilderness. I have grappled with the matter of provision many times. I do believe it is a matter of faith over fear not obedience or disobedience. I could be wrong, but I believe God expects us to work, sow, reap and store as we are able. Jesus said don’t worry about your life. Don’t live in fear about provision. He did not say don’t work. Paul says, let those that don’t work, not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). For me, the lesson of the wilderness is do not be afraid, have faith, be obedient, do your part, and trust God for the rest. As far storing up is concerned, it a matter of motive. Do I store because I don’t trust God or I just want more stuff, or do I store because I have been blessed with the ability to do so, in order that I might bless others. Anyone need a roll of toilet paper? 😊❤️
