This is definitely one of those ideas that really make you think. There are definitely basic fundamentals that must be present. I teach my students about big things and little things. Big things, like foundations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, are worth defending. However, little things, which I tend to get upset over, are not worth a fight or argument. I am guilty of that. The Bible as God’s precious word to man, the diety of Christ, His virgin birth, His blood shed as payment for all sin, His resurrection, and the soon coming rapture, are the most basic principles worth defending. There are others, of course, but I believe these are the most basic. There is a lot that can be learned from the focus of other beliefs. The Mennonites are a very dedicated, selfless group of people. Some of their ways are strange to be but I can see where they are more dedicated in ways I am not. Looking at other beliefs may help me focus on some areas I can improve in my own Christian walk.
