Description

Fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and sadness were not unknown to the early followers of Christ. Though the Bible does not address depression by name, Rev. Martha O’Reilly shows how Scripture is rife with verses addressing the heart’s condition in all states. It is in the words of Scripture and through the love of a personal Creator that Rev. O’Reilly found hope to work through the strangleholds of her depression.

Beyond the Deception of Depression is not a how-to guide; it is an authentic and personal story of one woman who found wholeness in the words of Scripture. O’Reilly understands that the journey can be grueling and that depression does not go away over night, but she also understands that it is possible to live joyfully and with promise, even in the midst of life’s circumstances.

This book is a must-read, not just for those dealing with depression, but for anyone who wants to live a more victorious, joy-filled life. Beyond the Deception of Depression recognizes the power of the human spirit and God’s power to help us live through and move beyond life’s wounds and losses.
