About the Book

Engage the Spirit

The Spirit of God never sits still.

From Pentecost until today, the Holy Spirit has been drawing people to Christ, purifying His church, empowering ordinary believers, and advancing the kingdom of God. Where the Holy Spirit is welcomed, lives are transformed and churches are renewed. Where He is neglected, faith becomes routine and mission loses its fire.

Engage the Spirit is both an invitation and a guide to more deeply embrace the Holy Spirit and His equipping and transformative work. Ian R. Dunn and Stephen D. Elliott combine biblical insight with pastoral experience to show how the Holy Spirit purifies hearts, emboldens ministry, and awakens a renewed passion for Jesus and His mission. Along the way, they answer practical questions, explore spiritual gifts, and offer wisdom for cultivating a more dynamic and communicative relationship with God where the Spirit’s presence is welcomed and His work is expected.

The same Spirit who empowered the early church is still at work today. His invitation has not changed. Will you engage?
