How Jesus Saves: Atonement for Ordinary People

$16.99$24.99

“Josh McNall has done a terrific job in providing a very easy-to-read, yet descriptive account of how God reconciles us to himself through Christ’s atoning death. Josh breaks down all the key terms, explains the story and logic of the atonement, and does it in a way that is eminently relatable and culturally savvy. There are few introductions to the atonement for beginners better than this.”

About the Study

While “Jesus saves” remains the central claim of Christianity, the ensuing question—How?—demands attention. How exactly does a brutal and shameful crucifixion bring salvation? Why does the Bible call it good news, and why should we?

In How Jesus Saves: Atonement for Ordinary People, Joshua McNall unpacks the meaning of Jesus’s life and death for everyday people. Through Scripture, story, and real-life applications, he brings together the primary models of atonement doctrine and offers an integrated vision for how Jesus offers the benefits of salvation to the world.

The result is an accessible book that helps remove obstacles for skeptics and can deepen the faith of committed Christians. In both the book and accompanying videos (available separately), McNall addresses this great Christian doctrine with simplicity without sacrificing the nuance this topic demands. Reflection questions available at the end of each chapter.
