About the Jesus in the Wild Lenten Series Kit
For Lent this year, we’re putting together the best resources we can to help you and your congregation thrive as you do the hard (often unrecognized on earth, but always seen in heaven) work of preaching, teaching, and discipling according to the Life of Jesus. When you purchase the kit, you’ll be invited to join Dan Wilt and other pastors from around the country for a collaborative preaching workshop on January 19th. We’ll provide you with sermon planning outlines, small group study guides, weekly teaching videos, and all the artwork, media files and promotional materials to get the word out to your congregation. Then, in early February, you’ll receive early access to A Night with New Room: Ash Wednesday. In addition to the full 90-minute service, we’ll provide an isolated video of Dan Wilt’s main talk—either of which can be incorporated into your planned Ash Wednesday and/or Sunday services.
We look forward to doing Lent together this year!

About the Book
What is the meaning within the remarkable scene in Luke 4:1–14 of Jesus being challenged by the devil in the “wild”—the untamed and unruly wilderness? And what are the surprising implications of this event for followers of Jesus today?
In Jesus in the Wild you’ll take a forty-day journey into the heart of one of the most unusual, and often most misunderstood, stories in the Gospel accounts. In this encounter, following his baptism in the Jordan and before the inauguration of his ministry, Jesus is alone with the adversary—the one whose works he had come to destroy (1 John 3:8). He faces three tests, or “temptations”—all aimed at unseating him from his identity, his belovedness, and his purpose as the Son of God.
Understanding how Jesus faced down the accuser in the wild, you and I will be equipped to address every demonic challenge that comes our way in the wild places in our own lives.
Jesus in the Wild is a perfect personal study and daily reader for individuals who want to gain a deeper sense of their vocation and calling in Christ, and for groups or congregations wanting a study on this momentous event in Jesus’ life.
