In this edition of the OneBook Daily-Weekly, professor and Hebrew scholar Michael D. Matlock leads seekers on a twelve-week study of the first six chapters of the book of Daniel. With keen understanding of the perilous times in which Daniel and his friends lived, Dr. Matlock shows students how they can also survive, even thrive, in exile and under pressure—without compromising. Join Dr. Matlock on an exciting journey through stories of courage under fire, grace under pressure, and promotion in spite of rivalry—and learn how you can be victorious too.
As a OneBook Daily-Weekly study, The Book of Daniel (1-6) is robust in its biblical dependability and orthodoxy, but is written in a way that combines two previously divergent types of biblical publication — devotional and exegetical writings.
As the name suggests, the Daily-Weekly provides a passage of scripture each week, broken into five daily readings, with a sixth day for focused reflection and one day for weekly gathering. The weekly gathering offers 10 minutes of video followed by group discussion around a prepared set of weekly lessons produced in a 192-page study book. It will be ideal for weekly Sunday school classes or weekday Bible study sessions requiring approximately one hour of meeting time.
