About the Author
Dr. Sterling M. Allen, a leading Charles Wesley scholar, is the senior pastor at Cornerstone Global Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, and serves as adjunct faculty at Baylor University Truett Theological Seminary Wesley House of Studies for the Pastoral Studies Program. As an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church, Dr. Allen has served in various capacities as a worship leader, musician, and pastor for more than twenty-six years in large church settings in Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia. In 2024, Dr. Allen served as the worship director for the historic Convening Conference of the Global Methodist Church in San Jose, Costa Rica, and edited the all-Wesley hymnal O for a Heart to Praise My God (Seedbed 2024).
